Thursday, June 26, Helena, MT
We’re back in town! We drove from Red Wing to Rapid City yesterday, and then up to Helena today. Julie sat in the back seat so she could put her left arm against pillows on the door. Biscuit was my co-pilot.

Julie’s arm is doing better, she is finished with the strong pain medications and is now on the normal stuff – Tylenol, Motrin, Jack Daniels, crack cocaine, eye of newt. She’s doing good. Sutures are holding up well, she took a shower without falling out of the tub and accidentally tearing her legs off. Almost back to normal.
Due to our change in plans, I got my truck out of storage when we got to Helena. Thanks Mike and Pat for the delivery service! “Concierge.” I turned in the rental car and saved a couple hundred dollars. Things are looking up! Until Julie falls out of bed and all her ribs collapse and create a black hole effectively taking out the entire planet.

Julie’s original appointment that we had to drive 1000 miles for is tomorrow, afterwards I will get new tires put on the truck before we head out Saturday. It’s good to be back in Montana. The dry air already has my nose bleeding. Julie’s nose will probably be caught in a car door and smashed to smithereens, resulting in another 911 call…
On the way here, we talked about her accident a few times. She doesn’t remember getting from the swim platform to the dock. She woke up on the dock while I was putting on the tourniquet and talking to 911. Quite frankly, I can’t remember how I got her from the boat to the dock either. Chalk that up to adrenaline. I seem to recall the rest of the incident pretty clearly. When we get back to Red Wing I will take some photos and share them with all ya’ll.
Accidents happen. Please be safe.
Blessings to all ya’ll!
Your dog and mine are apparently related…….
