Day two, or one

All right, we are one the road! Not really a good thing if you are in a boat, so we are actually "on the road" on our way to the boat. We've had some folks comment that we haven't posted in a while, so thank you for reading this and we appreciate it! Also, some of our friends, whom I won't name, don't really care what we post, they want pictures of Biscuit and want to know how he is doing. So for Deb, LisaLisa, ShaUna, Nicole and Kimmy here is how the poor sweet thing spent today and yesterday in the truck:

We left Helena on Monday morning and had a great drive to Buffalo, Wyoming. We've stayed there several times over the years. On the way down, we went past Julie's mountains. Technically, not really "hers" but they are the Crazy Woman Mountains and she owns that! Then today, we drove over Crazy woman Creek in Wyoming. Not a good omen for me to start this trip.

Julie "screezed" on me today, but before that story, let me tell you this one to kind of tie the Crazy Mountains/Creek/Julie thing altogether. Having a quick continental breakfast at the Hampton Inn this morning. I spilled some milk out of my cereal bowl, because the bowls are so shallow as to be practically useless and the spoons are smaller than a raisin, so to eat cereal you have to shovel it into your mouth at a cyclic rate of 100 spoons per minute to fill up. (I stay at a lot of Hampton Inn's, so I have a good breakfast routine). Anyhoo, Cray Julie said "oh, spilled your milk, huh?" and then sat down and immediately spilled her entire cup of milk onto my hand. That was after the Crazy Mountains but before Crazy Woman Creek. Then she started laughing for a looOOoong time.

Biscuit doesn't care that Mom is crazy.

So, back to the "screeze." We have been driving for a couple of hours, just getting into South Dakota. Traffic in Rapid City is light, but for a Montana person, it's full-on rush hour and I am gripping the wheel and checking the mirrors and praying a lot. As I was looking at the side mirror, Crazy Creek Woman Julie suddenly and without warning sneezed...but it wasn't just a sneeze. You know when they come up on you out of the blue and surprise you so it was a sneeze AND a surprised scream at a volume roughly equivalent to a 747 taking off. Scared the heck out of me (I'm not saying a I peed myself, but I'm also not not saying it) so she started laughing, and then said "spilled your milk, huh?" kept on laughing all the way to Murdo, South Dakota. That sneeze/scream combo gets me every time. Screeze. Just like Shakespeare, I have invented a word. You're welcome.

This is not photoshopped or anything. They slept like this for an hour.

We have made it to Sioux Falls despite craziness and screezin'. Appreciate your prayers and support and many blessings to all ya'll!
