Hey! Ya'll gonna move that boat?

At some point, we will. Here's a brief rundown of the last week. We left Montana on Monday, stayed in Buffalo, Wyoming; Sioux Falls, SD; and then Rochester, MN. We got on the boat on Thursday morning and started loading our stuff on board. We kept loading through Friday and then got the rental truck back to U-Haul. Pretty busy week. Since Thursday we have been loading, throwing away, re-loading, moving things around and throwing more stuff away. I'm happy to have driven a lot of things a fifth of the way across the country to throw it away here... <insert the one emoji here that I don't know how to insert yet> <the "eyes closed straight line for a mouth" emoji> <some of you get that one a lot from me...> <Nick>

We got news that Julie had to go back to a doctor appointment in Montana in late June and it can't be done virtually, so we have decided to stay here in Red Wing through the Independence Day ('MURICA!) weekend. It was a total blessing, allowed us to slow down, really take our time in the "getting the boat ready" process. God is good! Weather has been great to get out on the river, but Steve from Marine Specialties wanted to go over a few things with me - show me how to install an impeller, some of the switches, how to run the spotlight, etc... - so we have essentially sat in the boat here at the boat slip and just, when we weren't putting stuff away, chilled. Which is what most of this trip is about.

Thunderstorms are forecast for Monday afternoon, and rain all day Tuesday after a cold front moves through. So we wouldn't really want to be on the lake those days anyways, therefore I have a list of things I want to accomplish on Tuesday. I walked 1.5 miles to the laundromat today and got laundry done, then stopped by Ace Hardware on the way back and picked up a couple of things. We utilized the Wal-Mart delivery app for some groceries, which worked pretty well I have to admit. Julie is in charge of that. They'll deliver here, but not to Falcon Ranch back in Montana!
I got ice yesterday at the Marina office. As I was walking over and looking at all the boats, it seemed to me that lots of them had chairs and tables and tomato plants and whatnot on their slips and docks. So I asked the girl at the Marina "how many people never take their boat out?" Her answer: "Lots! Their boats get put into the slip in May and get taken out again in September and they never leave other than that. My dad says this is a "rich person trailer park." Indeed. Kind of feels like that is where we are at, but we will definitely move this boat after the storms tomorrow and rain on Wednesday. Here is your "Biscuit O'The Day" for all his fans! God bless all ya'll!

“Rich person trailer park” is a fitting description!
Enjoy the process...and the down time!!! I don't think God ever intended us to be as busy as we are, especially on things that really don't matter.
God is so good! He knows just how to make us slow down and enjoy the moments. Love you three! 💙
love all the flexibility and go with the flow...
Thanks, MaggieD! Can't wait to dock at Courthouse Bay so Ronnie can yell "greeeeeeeeen liiiiiiiiight" at you!
