Kayaking adventures

Wednesday (why can’t we just agree to spell it “Wensday”), June 18.  Red Wing

My phone died in the early hours of Monday morning, many thanks to the Verizon Store in Red Wing and Brent (a zoomie) for helping this dumb jarhead get a new phone and some items transferred over.  I know Brad and ShaWna and my weird geeky techie friends are all “backup your photos in the cloud” dude, but that isn’t for me.  Fortunately, I back up all my photos every month onto a physical computer that I can touch and feel.  Not all of my contacts or text threads transferred over, but I can live with that.

Biscuit: "Thar she blows, hard to port ye maties!" Keith: <sighs> "Aye, aye, sir."

We had a great experimental kayak excursion today.  “Experimental” because, well, getting in and out of a kayak is always a tricky proposition.  Adding everybody’s favorite turtle-finding dog increases that trickiness.

Is that...is that a banjo I hear?...

Blessings to all ya'll!

We made it back, but still have to get out of the kayak!

Does Biscuit swim while y'all kayak?

Great question! Biscuit does swim, but only when we pull into a shallow area. Then he gets out, swims some, explores and jumps back in ready to head back out. When we had our other boat he would jump off, when given permission, and swim to shore to explore, then swim back out to our boat. We do not plan to give him permission to jump off this much bigger boat. Once we come to an area where we get in to swim, he will get in with us. And then probably sit on the swim platform until we get back on the boat.
