Hi folks, and based on your comments, I will start off with date, time and location. Friday the 13th, 9:00am central time, planet Earth.
Galileo! Galileo! Galileo figarooooOOOooo. Yes, thunderbolts and lightning are very, very frightening to Biscuit. It’s gotten worse as he has gotten older. It appears that the state of Minnesota is doing its best Noah impression lately, as it has been raining off and on for days now, with more rain and storms scheduled through the next week. We are kind of equipped for that, so bring it on!
We went to bed last night to a gentle rain outside. It is soooo peaceful to lay in bed and hear the rain falling on the boat. We hear it much better than in the house. The boat is gently rocking, the rain is softly falling and then Boom! thunder.
Biscuit likes to announce that thunder is in the vicinity by punching me vigorously about the head and shoulders. Since the thunderstorm rolled in around 3:00 am, I happened to be lying in bed at the time, which makes for an easy target.
So we got up and put on his thunder vest and gave him a gabapentin. Although he is not allowed to sleep in the bed normally, during a thunderstorm we let him up. Well, he gets up whether we let him or not, so it sounds better to say we “let” him up. Silly humans.
Here, in a dramatic recreation of the events, are the camera person’s perspective of last night. Folks, these are trained professionals, do not try this at home. This is a stunt dog and a stunt Dad. Do not attempt.

Blessings to all ya'll!

Biskeeeeeee - hang in there, buddy! Keep punching Keith in the face though
Oh Biscuit! I get it though, I like to snuggle up on my Daddy too
Awww. Poor Bisky Butt!! I love his thunder vest! 🥰
